About me (自我介绍)

Hello, I am Qinyu Cui, currently studying at the Deportment of Civil and Transportation Engineering of South China University of Technology, majoring in Transportation Engineering. My research interests involve solving urban problems using emerging data and methods. During my PhD, I will focus on “cross-disciplinary research on big data and GIS for urban/transportation issues.” I welcome discussions and learning opportunities with peers engaged in related research.

您好，我是崔秦毓，目前就读于华南理工大学土木与交通学院交通运输专业。我的研究兴趣是通过新兴数据和方法解决城市问题，博士阶段将围绕“面向城市/交通问题的大数据与GIS交叉研究”进行研究，欢迎相关研究的同学和我讨论学习。

My background (我的学习背景)

I completed my undergraduate studies in Urban and Rural Planning at Lanzhou University of Technology. After graduation, I was recommended for admission to Shenzhen University to pursue a master degree in Urban Studies. Following my master’s graduation, I applied to the South China University of Technology for a PhD in Transportation Engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I primarily focused on planning and design. However, a social practice survey competition introduced me to the broader scope of urban and rural planning, which integrates knowledge from various disciplines such as sociology, geography (with GIS operations and analysis), economics (commercial layout), and statistics (regression analysis). This experience sparked my interest in research, and I have been passionate about it ever since.

我本科在兰州理工大学城乡规划专业学习，本科毕业后推免至深圳大学城市规划专业攻读硕士学位，硕士毕业后申请到华南理工大学交通运输专业攻读博士学位。在本科阶段，我主要学习的是规划设计，但在一次社会实践调研竞赛中，我了解到城乡规划专业并不是完全只有设计方向，还包含了融合多个学科知识的研究方向。例如，社会学中的问卷调查、地理学中的ArcGIS操作和分析、经济学中的商业布局和统计学中的回归分析等。在这一过程中我领略到了科研的魅力，喜欢上了这种有逻辑、科学和有趣的内容。而后，以此为启蒙进行了后面的学业。

My research experience (我的研究经历)

I enjoy using qualitative, quantitative, and computational methods to comprehensively study urban/transportation issues. I am particularly interested in research related to “new data” and “big data.” Most of my past work is focused on the sections Research Publications, Conference Talks, and Workshops on my homepage, where I have provided links to each study. The research topics include spatiotemporal behavior, urban vitality, social equity, and visual perception.

我喜欢使用定性、定量和计算方法来全面研究城市/交通问题。我特别关注“新数据”和“大数据”的相关研究。我以前的大部分工作都集中在主页上栏的研究成果、会议宣讲和工作坊三大板块，在那里我放置了每项研究的访问链接，研究主题包括时空间行为、城市活力、社会公平和视觉感知等。

My knowledge community (我的知识社区)

I have also established a WeChat public account (EnvironmentAndPlanningQ) to further share learning-related content. The content is broadly divided into three sections: 1) Paper Analysis (my reflections on academic papers), Recommendation of Excellent Papers (similar to the first, but these are generally well-regarded papers by others that I repost), and Lecture Sharing (sharing interesting lectures I come across and updating with articles summarizing the content); 2) Professional Learning Education (sharing fundamental and important content that I found useful during my studies, both to reinforce my own understanding and to share with others).

我还创办了微信公众号（EnvironmentAndPlanningQ）进一步分享学习相关的内容，内容板块大致分为三个板块，包括①论文解析（可以理解为个人的论文读后感）、优秀论文推介（和前者类似，但这种一般都是别人发好的，我只负责转载）、讲座分享（转发我看到且认为有趣的讲座，并在讲座后更新文章对讲座内容进行图文分享）、②专业学习科普（分享一些个人在学习过程中觉得基础和重要的内容，温故而知新的同时也可以分享给更多人）。

Additionally, I have launched a Bilibili channel (超级大汉堡五山分堡), where I will share interviews with peers (interviews with students from the same field but different directions, hoping their experiences can help younger students who are feeling lost).

其次，哔哩哔哩（超级大汉堡五山分堡）目前已经开通，将会分享一些和其他同学的经验访谈（采访一些本专业但不同方向的同学，希望他们的经历可以帮助到低年级迷茫的同学）。
